Rome Burns Gig Leeds [Jan. 11th, 2017|05:12 pm]
Rome Burns gig reunion!!!!!!!!!!

Saturday, April 1 at 7 PM
Lending Room, 229 Woodhouse Lane, LS2 3 Leeds
ROME BURNS are back for this special reunion gig! They weave art, electronic rhythms and live instruments to produce a complex post-punk tapestry. Described by Mick Mercer as the UK's most charming alternative band, he continues, "their music can at times be rawly invigorating while at others takes on a more soothing glow, dazzling you with restraint and the best lyrics in the UK Goth scene". They may also sing a ditty about doing unspeakable things to dogs in the park, should a guitarist need to change a string.
LAST JULY: dark and romantic, with a sound derived from a wide breadth of influences including goth, new romantic and rock, their songs tell stories of emotion and sorrow. Far from morbid; their music remains upbeat with an optimistic edge. Passionate about performing live, they blend dark atmospheres with driving guitars and strong melodic vocals.
ISOLATION DIVISION play powerful, heartfelt guitar music, showing influences from the likes of The Chameleons. Fab new EP , "Seventh Magpie", is out now.
The Carpe Noctum club night follows till 2am, playing goth, post-punk, industrial and stuff, all aimed squarely at the dancefloor.
Doors 7pm, first band onstage 7:30. £6 on the door before 10pm, £5 after for the club night only.
