Following on from Inkubus Sukkubus' Tales of Witchcraft & Wonder in 2016 at Blackfriars Priory in Gloucester, they have sought out another fascinating, historic - and haunted - location for 2017.
The weekend will comprise accommodation within the haunted ancient walls of St Briavels Castle in the Royal Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, for just 50 people, with all entertainment included in the ticket price.
Join author and historian ROSS ANDREWS as he takes us on a guided tour of the history and hauntings of the castle - hear about 'The Screaming Man', 'The Ghost That Likes to Stroke', 'The Crying Child' and more, before you settle down for a peaceful night's sleep...
After breakfast, you will be invited to join us in a rather special celebration, then the day will be yours to either chill out in the castle's grounds, explore nearby Clearwell Caves, Puzzlewood, Secret Forest and more, or pop along to The George Inn (located just outside the castle's walls) for food and watering.
In the early evening, the wonderful BRIGHID'S FLAME will be performing their entrancing bardic tales and song; then there will be a break for dinner where you have the option of joining the band at a medieval banquet (additional cost), eating at The George, or preparing your own food in the castle kitchen.
Following dinner, there will be a magical set by authors and storytellers ANTHONY NANSON and KIRSTY HARTSIOTIS, who will be weaving dark tales of the Forest of Dean and Welsh borders. Tales to chill on a summer's evening! We will also be joined by talented dancer IVY, who has performed twice before with the band.
The evening will be rounded off by an acoustic set by INKUBUS SUKKUBUS and friends, where the band (Candia, Tony and Dean) will be joined by Marcus Gilvear on percussion, Abigail Blackman on cello, and Nick Gibbs on violin. The weekend will also see the band launching their 22nd album, 'BELAS KNAP: TALES OF WITCHCRAFT & WONDER VOL 2'.
After breakfast, it will be time to say our farewells, and maybe explore the ancient Forest of Dean further before return home...
