Saturday 2 July : Masonic Masquerade|
What a fantastic event, I got to watch acts and horror film in a masonic temple and remove a nail of a performer nose .
Our evening started with watching Santa Sangre film in the masonic temple. Just for that alone it was worth it. Mexican-Italian avant-garde horror film directed by Alejandro Jodorowsky, totally gory and surreal whilst sitting on big masonic chairs...i was very happy. Afterward we saw a fantastic mini circus show it the same room, with one incredible gym/aerial ballet, breath-taking as well as burlesque and fire show but so atmospheric in that temple lighted by candlelights. The Andaz hotel as a venue was pretty cool, with a room being a pleasure gardens with indoor classical fountain, deckchairs and classical ensemble, one room was a dancefloor/lost world cabaret...like a mini double R club with Benjamin Louche introducing some acts from singing on broken glass, to nail hammering to a very impressive fire eater. As well as usual great mixture of still walkers, aerialists , menagerie and Art Macabre drawing room. Fantastic evening.
