Friday 18 March: Kangaroo Island and sleeping in a tower above the sea and Jacuzzi
A very cold and early start of the day (setting off at 5 am to catch ferry)
It was quite cold on Kangaroo island a shock after Perth, our first stop whilst crossing the island to get to our accommodation was Kingscote (few shops), a local honey producer, tasting the various one from sugar gum to cup gum and the most amazing sparkly honey drink (Island Beehive )
Next stop was a local Haloumi producer (island pure farm) happy us as probably our favourite cheese
Lunch at Marron cafe who specialise in local marron (crayfish) we had an delicious seafood platter and got to do a little bit of wine tasting too (2 wheeler Creek )
Our amazing island accommodation for the next few days; Claire nicely let us have the Tower. Amazing views of the beach; jacuzzi and a round full of cushions living room pit. Cliff House
what a view .
The temperature has sadly dropped drastically on Kangaroo island but we have a whole beach to ourselves under our accommodation so making the most of it. We took quite some tumbles in the waves. .We just need more sunshine and less wind but there was a tractor buried in the sand
nothing will stop us...warm once in :)
our house :)
What a view to have from a hot tub, best way to warm up after our sea swim
and a rainbow !!!!!
Testing our Australian knowledge whilst it is bucketing down outside. About to retreat to our tower so good night from this side of the world
