Tuesday 15 March: Serpentine Falls, Mundaring Weir, Pub Kangaroos and Perth Elizabeth Quays
Today we started to encounter some wildlife, whilst picnicking I fed magpies; whilst having a beer I fed parrots and then as we came out of the pub lots of wild kangaroos
Firstly, we went for a swim in Serpentine Falls, being the end of summer not in full flow but what a feb place to swim…non salty water. I love playing in the sea but gosh do I prefer fresh water.
swimming and fall :)
Afterward we went on a little bush walk hoping to find those wild kangaroos no luck
Serena then took us to see Mundaring Weir, great views, located in natural bushland in the Perth Hills. Completed in 1903, the Weir was the start of the water pipeline that pumped water to the Kalgoorlie goldfields, some 700 kilometres away.
We then went for a drink at the Mundaring Hotel, massive old fashion venue/pub but most excitingly we had parrots on our table and when we left the pub lots of wild Kangaroos outside (pubs feed them about that time). They were quite feisty and fighting each other
what awaited us outside
cat, serena , kangaroos!!!!pub in australia i guess
In the evening we returned to Perth , a very new built section Elizabeth Quays where they have a donation only veggie indian place looking over the sea: Analakshmi, followed by a walk around the quays to digest.
