Bali (day 15): Jimbaran [Jan. 14th, 2015|07:10 pm]
[Tags|, ]

Tuesday 30 December

That day we went to Jimbaran (famous for it's beach and his seafood dinner in the sand, south of Kuta).

That morning we got collected at our hotel and took part of some timeshare holiday ownership promo scheme at Royal resort, in exchange to  listening about it and visiting a few stunning hotels (still daydreaming of some of the hotels i was shown and i have to say it was damn tempting,  but we stuck to our plan and escape unsigned :( ) , that's what happens when you let yourself be stopped in the street the night before. It was a good deal but i hate making decision on the spot and a big amount up front.
Anyway worked out well as I wanted to go Jimbaran so got us a free taxi ride one way and free lunch vouchers.

We had the best grilled seafood and spent a lovely day in this amazing beach (so much nicer than Kuta)
The water just is virtually under your chair (only time we ever rent a deck chair so glad as it came with high basket for our stuff).
We swam all afternoon and in the sunset , then decided to havea lovely long walk along the beach afterward. Maybe that wasn't the best idea and a bit too late as getting a taxi back to Kuta proves difficult and we really struggle to find anyone until  a lovely driver finally took pity of us and  brave kuta awful traffic...pretty much traffic jam all the way...never been so happy to partake with payment for a ride and to see familiar sites.
