Titus Adronicus @ Globe [Jul. 16th, 2014|12:32 pm]
Sunday 13 July Titus Adronicus

That was a great play, I love it when the Globe really use all the space especially the standing section. Being moved about to let army, chariots and death pit really makes you part of it all. We got wet, Simon got the pie but not as much blood splatter as expected (a lot less dark and bloody than last production apparently). It was a very immersing play, gory at time, very funny and the rain stayed away so much enjoyed. I think it was the most deaths and audience fainting I have witnessed in one play and one i must check out other productions of this play in the future:)

Afterward we went for a few drinks in Market Porter followed by the Rake..which was having a  little "french Bastille" day fete, ending the night with pizza and so so tired :)

Have you seen any of the Jacobean revenge tragedies at the Globe? Anything by Kyd, Middleton or Tourneur has a high body count.

We've got tickets for 'Let the right one in' for late August; had to book ages in advance to hope to get tickets for ok seats at a reasonable price . . . not £5 though!
