Day 3: Amphi festival (part 1) [Jul. 23rd, 2008|05:46 pm]
Previous Entry Add to Memories Tell a Friend Next Entry
Saturday was the start of Amphi festival, similar in many ways to Mera Luna just a bit smaller with lots of flushing loos. We got sunburn, wet, melted and froze on a general day.
The drink choice was very limited so it was mead all weekend and the food usual crappy festival stuff. Nice little market where a few items and of course a hat were purchase.

Wristband super fast queue

Saturday was mainly spent outside (the theatre was mainly EBM stuff and a bit noisy and busy to be attractive)

That day consisted of friends, fun and watching a few bands
The usual Brits festival suspects....too many good friends were present to name...some i only actually saw on the plane on the way back !

Cinderella Effect- Strange cover bands some interesting version…after a few went shopping.

111_7397.jpg picture by morbidfrog

Zeromancer – Very good industrial rock band, very energetic and enjoyable.

111_7403.jpg picture by morbidfrog

Welle: erdball: Interesting a bit too pretentious...interesting going on on stage but musically boring

111_7405.jpg picture by morbidfrog

The surreal beach bar Goths sunbathing!!!!!

111_7406.jpg picture by morbidfrog

Zeraphine – I guess good goth but already forgotten.

and the rain

Covenant – I wasn’t really planning on watching them but as I was there I did, better than I though and knew more songs that I imagine. All a bit samey but a good performance.

More rain ...

Deine Lakaien -  What a show, even better than last time, totally fabulous, strange mixture after covenant as less organise and efficient but the highlight of the day and perhaps of the festival (well after L’ame Immortelle).

Oomph! – Stomping Rammstein copy, very good indeed. The whole crowd jumping madly along was quite a sight. Sadly only aware of a few songs but so big over here. Decided to go and see it from higher up...good view but a bit too far to reallly get immerse in it.

The night ended strangely on the beach bar, surreal site this is...from rain to cocktail.

Brits in the rain on the beach...

We checked the after party but the music was way to boum boum for us...so later returned to the hotel (and dramatically twisted my ankle) on the way back.

Something strange about going to a Goth festival in Germany and still finding sand everywhere.

I want a glow in the dark sofa!

It all looks amazing I love your clothes. I love the beach bar, such a fun idea, my sister has friends who organise festivals I might suggest it to them, of course there'd be even more Brits in the rain!

An uncomfortable sofa is against god and against nature.

The seating in Hell will probably be deck chairs.

Seems like a nice place for a festival, so close to the city and all ... May have to check that out next year!

Mr Hex61 always there to help the ladies...
He was demonstrating to us how many more moved he had compare to us ..there was some impressive display...i think i got dizzy at one stage when he was dancing around me.

At least the train station was near by...festival rarely have a ATM or the cost lots on fee

I like the picture for the "weird american dancing". Is it a weird american who is dancing, or dancing in a weird american style? Or both?
