Saturday 19 March (Part 1): Remarkable Rocks, Admiral Arch, wild seals, kangaroos, echidna , koalas in trees and salt lake |
The hazard of driving in Australia (although we spent most of it asleep in the back) Kangaroos crossing the roads, and I still find it so exciting to see those in the wild but then I still get excited seeing squirrel everywhere here
( I know what a name) Beautiful weathered rocks on Flinder`s Chase National Park. Above the crashing sea and cliffs. Very well set as up with a wooden path and amazing colours of oranges against blue (despite being a bit on the cold side)
from car window
Wild seals off the Cape de Couedic. They took a while to spot on their rocks then we realised they were everywhere especially playing in their sea pools and amongst the crashing waves.
took a while to spot :)
scratching, having a bath
Admiral Arch and a few more seals
We then we to find some Koalas in trees…took a while but little by little spotted lots
whilst busy walking above our heads this cute little guy came by on the path…an echidna…weird creature between ant eater and hedgehog.
he was actually posing for us :)
The of course more little kangaroos:)
we loved that sparkling honey so had to return to get some more
