It has been years since i last booked coaches to france (well pre-eurostar days). I have discover this really cheap service OUIBus and it is making this silly plan of popping to Lille for one gig not as silly. Return to Lille only £28. Works perfect for that plan as i can travel there during the day, see Michel Polnareff that night and catching the bus back at 0.20 back in London at 5 am, breakfast and go to work. Perfect plan for both the budget (as just a few days after Leipzig) and my lack of annual leave left :) I thought i mentionned it in case other fancy cheap trips to france

Also impressed with booking, you get seat numbers, toilets, double decker, reclining seats , wifi and plugs...a lot more fancy than eurolines buses used to be :)

Cool. I am a big fan of Eurostar and we usually go to the south which would be tedious on the bus, but this is good to know!

me too, by bus it take about 18 hours...and i was so glad when eurostar started...although not same price.
i was just glad to discover as it made going to gig possible as just not much leave left and was cheap. i forgot about megabus which were similar prices

I've never looked into it, but I can't imagine Megabus even to Lille is very comfortable.
