Saturday 18 July: Abode of Chaos Museum of Contemporary Art
On our long drive back across France we made a stop at the “Abode of Chaos Museum of Contemporary Art” whoaaaaaa not even sure how to describe the awesomeness of it. Complete mayhem in a sleepy small town near Lyon. Like an urban theme park of mayhem, free speech, street arts…overwhelming with so much going on and always finding new bits and unexpected beauty amongst the industrial hardness. House and ground filled with crashed helicopters, planes, burnt-out cars, bunker, graffiti’s, massive scale skulls (at time feeling like being in giant alchemy set), iron mystical creatures, amazing alchemy murals/paintings ,slogans, images of historical figures and art installations . One of those places one would need to visit again and again to really take it all in and also in the middle of many years of controversy and fighting to remain open.
