Tuesday 30 June: King's Cross pond
whoaaaa that was so fab...shame an art installation and only for a while but hopefully due to how successful it has been, they will build many many more.
The water just so clear and a gorgeous 21 degree and the surrealnest of a big screen showing Wimbledon, building sites and urban gardens all around you.
Perfect combination it is natural water (so no horrible chlorine) but super clear (i swan eye open under no problem) and the floor of a pool so no plants touching your legs but there is plant just in different section.
It was a bit stressful as it was closed monday and only reopen at 1pm that day but so glad it did...we had so much fun especially as simon, suuzanne, lorena and katarina also got tickets.
The all area changed so much, so nice. They had deck chairs and wimbledon on big screen, a really cool uban garden cafe (sadly closed for a party), lots of restaurant with chairs outside University of the arts (of course everyone else wanted to eat outsid that day and all were a bit pricey). Still we explored a bit and discover lots of lovely courtyard and so many water features. The one outside the university of the arts was so cool and filled with children ..if i cannot get into the pool might go there on a hot day myself and so easy to get home afterward. IGreat way to cool off to enjoy this wonderful weather and to catch up with friends in water and over dinner :)
