what a week [Apr. 23rd, 2015|05:22 pm]
MorbidFrog
Only thursday and it has been quite a week

Monday 20 April.
After work  i started my Sewing and Making Clothes class at WMC...not too sure what to make of it. It seems it is going to concentrate mostly on recycling , turning old clothes into new ones. Not quite the angle i am interested in as much as something i already do a bit and the teacher is a bit all over the place. Lots of time wasted group plotting on what to do with that old shirt and jeans, pin on board and talk about it rather than make. Also being all levels and just 1 teacher lots of waiting around to be shown bits to move on. We turned an old shirt into an apron (well started) and learned how to make my first ever bias (most time consuming thing ever)...especially when just one bias gadget and iron, sadly ran out of time before sewing it on...and gosh it is odd using a different sewing machine as i only ever used mine. Will see, at least I might pick up the odd tips but not quite focus on patterns as i thought

Tuesday 21 April
work followed by driving class...still as stressful and horrible...remember nothing and in many ways more stressed as i feel i should. It is going to be very expensive as i am going to need many many classes to get to a level i can even practice in simon car ...

Wednesday 22 April
more work followed by joining aly at the  open air oasis pool in Holborn was a lovely surprise, not too busy and such an odd layout surrounded by flats. Not very heated, def need to keep moving but the best changing room i have ever experienced...definitely one i must try to use more in the winter, not as big as london fields lido but easier location wise. To say i was knackered when i got home would be an understatement. 2 boxing classes, 1 spinning class, 1swim, 1 driving class, 1 sewing class and work in 3 days = a sleepy cecile and in bed at 10pm

I really like the Holborn pool, such a different experience - weird being up around the pigeons. The men's changing room feels prettys cruise-y, but that's not really a problem.

Oh yeah, loads of room! I think they did them up only a few years ago, make such a difference. There's no pools in Walthamstow at the moment, so I should make it a trip there sometime.
