Thursday 9 October:
First day sightseeing with my parents so I took them to visit Kenwood House, a bus ride in a leafier part of London they haven’t yet visited and also I haven’t been there since it was all refurbished. I love the library with its pinks and blues, the place is filled with masterpieces (Gainsborough, Rembrandt, Turner and even Henry Moore & Hepworth  in the garden) , overlooking Hampstead Health  and it is free so what is not to like :)

Afterward we went for cream tea in High tea of Highgate a quaint little tea shop to introduce them to scones and we took a lovely wander down to Highgate Cemetery via Waterlow Park (sadly the tour was sold out and they only do one a day ) but at least we had a little look at the area (didn’t think a weekday in October would sell out) .

So instead we ha d a  nice walk (and see all my dream properties ) and went to visit the Pergola  and Hills Gardens instead
No idea how as I do it all the times but I somehow got lost in the forest instead of going to little zoo and our usual picnic are . That was quite a walk, eventually got back on road (must have been the only road in London without any buses) and finally reached Hampstead , so pub to recover and went on a little visit around Hampstead village, before buse-ing back to Wood Green  for bit of shopping and eating at lovely Turkish restaurant.
